You are drawn into the story of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette, who has been transformed into a swan by an evil sorcerer – only true love can set her free. Between a moonlit lakeside scene and a magnificent royal ball, a poetic interplay of longing, hope, and powerful emotion unfolds. When Siegfried vows his fidelity to Odette, the spell seems broken – yet the sorcerer Rothbart leads him astray with the seductive Odile, the “Black Swan.” What follows is no simple fairy tale, but a ballet about trust, deception, and the power of ideals. You experience how closely love and illusion lie side by side, and how fragile a vow can be. Tchaikovsky’s music and the iconic dance scenes make Swan Lake a work that moves you – quietly, intensely, and anew each time.
