After an introduction to the origins of the green coffee beans and a welcome drink made in-house, the tour leads to the heart of the roastery: the 25-kilo Probat roaster. Visitors learn how slow and gentle heating allows the delicate aromas of the coffee beans to reach their full potential and why this method is preferred over industrial processes. Origin and growing conditions also play a role: the coffee beans used are certified organic and fair trade. Before heading home, visitors will not only take away a wealth of knowledge but also a packet of fine coffee as a souvenir.
