Fort Paul e.V. Summer Festival
Fort Paul e.V.’s first summer festival, held over two days, offers a vivid glimpse into a building that has linked artistic practice and urban history for generations. Starting at 11 a.m., the exhibition “200 Years of Fort Paul” will be open to the public, offering a thoughtful look at the multifaceted transformations of this historic structure. In addition, guided tours of the fort and the adjacent Volksgarten will be held, explaining both the building’s architecture and its place in the city’s history. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, drinks and light snacks will be available in the outdoor area, creating space for conversations and spontaneous encounters. A special highlight is Saturday evening, when the band “Cumulus” will perform in the courtyard; Martin Willing, who has been working as an artist at Fort Paul since the 1980s, plays bass, thereby bringing to light a rare connection between the past and the present.
