Families can expect exciting puzzles, surprising stories and interesting facts about Cologne at around 10 stations. Together they discover the old town in a playful way, solve tasks and learn many things that even some Cologne residents don't know yet. The city rally combines movement, discovery and shared experiences and turns a visit to the city into a small family adventure.

A browser-based application creates a flexible structure that leads from the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen fountain to the fish market and connects around ten stations. Puzzles, movement tasks and small thought-provoking impulses open up new perspectives on the urban fabric at each location, while the virtual guide Erwin provides a narrative framework. The approximately 2.5-kilometre route allows visitors to explore architectural and urban historical elements at their own pace and test aspects of knowledge that make different layers of time visible between the cathedral, the Rhine area and the alleyways of the old town. The format is suitable for visitors who enjoy exploring urban spaces with a certain interest in knowledge, without being tied to fixed times or group tours. The result is an educational adventure that combines individual curiosity, movement in the urban space and a reflective view of Cologne.
