Kölsche Filmmatinée: Bläck Fööss live at the Tanzbrunnen 1991
film
"Nix es ömmesöns"
On Sunday at 11:30 a.m., the Odeon-Kino Köln at Severinstraße 81 looks back on an unforgettable Cologne experience. The Kölsche Filmmatinée celebrates the unique open-air concert of the Bläck Fööss from the Tanzbrunnen in 1991 with their charismatic singer Tommy Engel. The concert, entitled "Nix es ömmesöns", is not only a demonstration of Cologne's joie de vivre and stubbornness, but also captures a precious memory. The event honors the efforts of the brilliant technical legend Siggy Müller and pianist Willy Schnitzler as well as those of sound engineer Nick Knorr. The digitized new edition of the live recording is the work of Uwe Bürk-Sprafke, a former Fööss technician, and impresses with its sonic authenticity.
This matinée opens windows into the past and brings music history to life emotionally. The Bläck Fööss not only stand for music, but also for social cohesion and the cultural heritage of Cologne. This film screening impressively demonstrates all this and reminds us that every musical work is also a social testimony of its time.
