Miteinander NEUmarkt

The “Miteinander NEUmarkt” cultural program transforms Neumarkt into a shared urban space throughout the summer, offering free artistic experiences on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays starting at 5 p.m. A converted shipping container near the fountain serves as an open stage and a space where various forms of urban expression can unfold. In addition to musicians, bands, performance artists, and authors, associations, communities, initiatives, and groups of all kinds will also present participatory events and activities at Neumarkt. These participatory activities—ranging from screen printing and group drawing to salsa nights, karaoke, and storytelling theater for children—enable visitors to become part of the action themselves and to directly experience cultural practices firsthand. The project is being developed in cooperation with Kulturhof Kalk e. V., whose approach to creating an open, accessible cultural space is being carried forward here in the urban setting. The result is a temporary meeting place on Neumarkt that intertwines artistic production, social participation, and low-threshold access, and engages the urban public in a unique way.
