phil.COLOGNE

Lecture/reading

Big questions, bright minds, lively debates

When Cologne transforms into a forum for the great questions of our time, it is once again phil.COLOGNE: From June 14 to 20, 2027, Europe’s largest philosophy festival will once again become a meeting place for outstanding thinkers from philosophy, academia, and politics. International philosophers, authors, scholars, and influential voices from society and politics will gather in the Rhine metropolis to engage with a curious audience in discussions spanning ethics and technology, democracy and responsibility, identity, freedom, and social cohesion.

phil.COLOGNE combines intellectual rigor with accessibility: Through conversations, lectures, debates, and readings, philosophy comes alive and enters into direct dialogue with the challenges of our time. As a space for open exchange, the festival brings together diverse perspectives and sparks new impulses for thought. A dedicated school program fosters philosophical thinking among students and provides a stage for young voices. In centrally located cultural venues across the city, Cologne becomes an international sounding board for ideas for several days.
