At the end of June, a space will be created in the Jugendpark where memories, flavors and stories interweave. The Ube Fiesta 2026 invites you to experience the purple tuber not just as an ingredient, but as a cultural symbol that opens up diverse connections between origin, identity and the present. Between shady meadows, open picnic islands and the gentle flow of a summer weekend, people come together to shape the festival as a collective experiment in respectful coexistence. The aroma of freshly prepared food mingles with conversations that go beyond enjoyment and touch on questions of agriculture, migration and solidarity-based economy - themes that are echoed in the "Ube in Germany" project and make the transnational character of the initiative visible.
