Historical background
After the Second World War, the indoor pools in Cologne city center were in ruins. The old pools in the outer districts, such as the Neptunbad and the Deutz-Kalker-Bad, were also badly damaged. As a result, the city council decided to build the Agrippabad on a site near the old water tower in 1956. Two years later, the pool opened its doors, equipped with a 25-meter swimming pool suitable for competitions, a diving facility with a ten-meter tower and a teaching pool.Good to know
