Christmas Market at the Kurienhaus

Right near Cologne Cathedral, a truly special Advent experience awaits you at the Kurienhaus. The highlight of the Christmas market is a nearly 15 metre high replica of the historic cathedral crane, crafted entirely from wood. It recalls a fascinating chapter in the history of Cologne Cathedral: for centuries, the wooden construction crane shaped the skyline of the cathedral while it was still unfinished.

Beneath this remarkable landmark, enjoy winter favourites such as mulled wine, hot chocolate, Feuerzangenbowle, a traditional German punch made with rum soaked sugar, or a freshly poured Kölsch. There are also hearty grilled specialities, crispy potato fritters and sweet waffles.
