With the performance "HEDERA - Let the Forgotten Speak", the Freies Werkstatt Theater Köln presents a piece that allows us to delve deep into the hidden traces of anti-colonial and feminist struggles. Initiated by the Sepidar Theater, this work combines historical stories of resistance from the global South with contemporary experiences of war and oppression. Through a unique constant interweaving of body, voice and space, the performers reveal forgotten narrative threads and transform destruction into a collective process of remembrance and empowerment. Bahareh Sadafi, a renowned artist who migrated to Germany, and director Mamadoo Mehrnejad, guide the audience through a dense performative space where dust, loud sounds and darkness stand as metaphors for repressed memories. An embodied archive is artistically reactivated, debris of oblivion is reshaped and inspiringly brought to life through music and movement. "HEDERA" is an invitation to confront the often repressed cultural legacy of resistance and to create a shared awareness of the enduring significance of these struggles.
