TanzFaktur Summer Academy

From July 8 to 15, 2026, TanzFaktur’s Summer Academy will create a space where contemporary dance, performative research, and artistic practice intertwine. The program brings international artists to Cologne, who share their approaches both on stage and in the studio, thereby facilitating a rare dialogue between performance, methodology, and body-based research. Featuring Evelien Jansen, Adam Khazhmuradov, Billy Barry, Yasmin Iriel Frione, and Niv Sheinfeld & Oren Laor, the academy brings together artists whose work is firmly rooted in the global dance scene and who regularly share their methods through intensive training programs. The Workshop Campus offers four intensive workshops for experienced dancers as well as two all-level formats that allow for in-depth work over several days. The focus is on sustainable physical practice, analytical approaches to movement, and direct exchange with the invited artists. The program is complemented by an international performance program that expands on the thematic threads of the campus and opens up spaces for reflection between the studio and the stage.
