Since 2013, a space has taken root in the Deutz harbor area where all facets of physical expression are explored. TanzFaktur combines a production house, performance venue, and cultural center, developing a multifaceted profile from these elements. Several stages and studios—from the BühnenSaal to the spacious WerksHalle and the rehearsal stage—offer architectural and artistic freedom that is put to continuous use. Almost every weekend, new perspectives on contemporary dance emerge here, accompanied by international guest performances and premieres.

Movement as Practice

In addition to the curated program, a broad spectrum of regular formats shapes the venue. Here, participants can deepen their knowledge of ballet, contemporary dance, or somatic methods. Workshops and educational offerings make the building a place where people with different levels of experience come together and benefit from one another.
