In the courtyard of the Carthusian Church

From April 29, 2026, the historic inner courtyard of the Carthusian Church will once again open its doors for a temporary vineyard, which will be created by KG Ponyhof e.V. with volunteer commitment. The tranquil architecture of the former monastery grounds provides the setting for a project that combines enjoyment and social responsibility.

Every day from 5 p.m., on weekends from 3 p.m., a place is created where carefully selected wines can be found as well as Kölsch or Wiess from the bottle. Around 300 seats provide ample space for wide-ranging conversations and an atmosphere that deliberately focuses on calmness.

The consistent focus on the common good is remarkable: all proceeds after deduction of costs go to charitable projects and every hour of work is done free of charge. The culinary accents are also part of the concept and add regional and everyday dishes to the menu. The vineyard thus sees itself less as an event and more as a gesture of solidarity in an urban context, supported by people who focus on community action.
