Helen Tower

PDF

Historic site
Along with the nearby Roman Tower, the so-called Helen's Tower is one of the best-preserved parts of the Roman city wall of Cologne. Even in ancient times, the half-tower was not closed, but open on the side facing the city. It is easy to see from the ruins that only the lower section is still original. The upper section was rebuilt for illustrative purposes. After the Second World War, the "Cologne Green" Foundation and the Parks Department of the City of Cologne have constantly taken care of the ruins and the adjacent green area and kept them in good condition.
