The work of Italian artist Agostino Iacurci is not limited to street art and murals, but has also expanded to include sculptures and installations. His works are now regularly exhibited in well-known galleries around the world.
In Cologne Nippes, however, we are looking at a mural that is synonymous with the style and work that has made the artist famous. The murals are characterised by clear, reduced, geometric shapes and rich colours. Often reminiscent of portraits or still lifes, the artist rearranges and deconstructs the objects, people and shapes they contain to create a poetic dream world. People, animals and objects are placed in different, inverted relationships to one another.
