KölnSkulptur
The park was established in 1997 through a private initiative by the collector couple Dr. Michael and Dr. Eleonore Stoffel and has gained widespread recognition both nationally and internationally within the art world and among the general public. Through a series of rotating exhibitions, the park presents a wide range of modern and contemporary outdoor sculpture, a reputation that has been solidified by the “KölnSkulptur” exhibition series and accompanying catalogs.
Currently, the Cologne Sculpture Park is showcasing its permanent collection between its temporary exhibitions. Visitors now have the rare opportunity to explore the park and its permanently installed works—including numerous loans from the Michael and Eleonore Stoffel Foundation, as well as from artists and galleries, some of which have been on view since the Sculpture Park Cologne opened in 1997. Every first Sunday of the month, a public guided tour at 3:00 p.m. offers fascinating insights into the works.
