Roman Borisov

Classic

Crawford Seeger | Mendelssohn Bartholdy | Rachmaninov | Schumann

Highly musical, intuitive, and conscious of structure – these are the qualities for which a jury of experts awarded him, after Roman Borisov, as the youngest participant, won first prize at a piano competition. Now he is making his debut at the Cologne Philharmonic. Sometimes, coincidences steer life in another direction. Roman Borisov owes the discovery of his pianistic talent to a musically adept kindergarten teacher: She ensured that young Roman was introduced to the legendary piano teacher Mary Lebenzon at the Novosibirsk Conservatory at the age of four. This allowed Borisov to develop his exceptional skills, which today make him one of the most exciting pianists of the young generation.
