Cathedral Treasury
In the depths of the cathedral sacristy, you will experience an unforgettable experience beyond time and space: the treasure chamber of Cologne Cathedral. Living tradition and history merge here under Gothic walls to present you with precious relics and reliquaries from the 4th to the 20th century. The two-storey chamber not only offers you a view of episcopal insignia and liturgical instruments, but also reveals the presence of the cathedral's most important relics in the "Heiltumskammer" room. Particularly impressive are the rooms dedicated to the veneration of the Epiphany with remains of the early medieval Franconian tombs and sculptures. Changing exhibitions in the so-called "library" also enrich your experience with contemporary works of art that inspire intense reflection.
