Starting at the imposing Cologne Cathedral, the route takes you from the world-famous Christmas market on Roncalliplatz to the dazzling HEAVENUE market on Friesenplatz.

Route to the Christmas wonderland

The starting point is Roncalliplatz in front of Cologne Cathedral, where a huge Christmas tree and a glittering tent of lights dominate the festive backdrop. The route continues to Alter Markt and Heumarkt, home to "Heinzel's Winter Fairytale". Enjoy the quaint atmosphere here, sample traditional delicacies or take a spin on the popular ice rink.

You can reach Neumarkt via Schildergasse, Cologne's shopping mile. The "Market of Angels" enchants with its heavenly decorations and glitter. From there, you meander through Mittelstraße to Rudolfplatz, where the Nikolausdorf impresses with its fairytale design and creative stalls.

At the end of the tour, Friesenplatz, the flashy "HEAVENUE Cologne" invites you to enjoy glamorous moments full of glitter and great music.
