Behind the impressive Eigelstein City Gate lies the "Lapidarium," an indispensable meeting point in the Cologne neighborhood (Veedel) for over 30 years. Affectionately known as "Lapi," the pub was closely tied to its legendary host, Ernst Mörs, for 28 years before reopening in 2019 under new management with an expanded concept. However, its core remains unchanged: conviviality and the true Cologne spirit.

Cologne tradition meets innovation

With its striking beer tap system offering eleven draft beers – including Gaffel Kölsch, Gaffel Wiess, and Belgian specialties like Leffe Blond or Duvel – the Lapidarium appeals to beer connoisseurs as well as casual visitors. In addition, the game specialties menu, featuring meat from their own wild game butchery, delivers a unique culinary experience. From wild boar goulash to cheese spaetzle as a vegetarian option, the kitchen merges tradition and creativity.
