Claudius Therme

Thermal bath/sauna area

An oasis of relaxation

The Claudius Therme in Cologne, located in the heart of Deutz’s Rheinpark, is a popular destination for those seeking peace and relaxation, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. As one of Germany’s most renowned thermal baths, it features state-certified therapeutic water from its own spring and blends modernity with history. The name “Claudius” pays homage to the Roman Emperor Claudius, whose empire laid the foundation for Cologne’s world-class bathing culture. In 2026, the Claudius Therme will celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Unique panoramic sauna with a view of the cathedral

In addition to the spacious indoor and outdoor pools, the spa features a versatile sauna area. It includes seven saunas and two steam rooms, where regular infusions and ceremonies are held to enhance the sauna experience. Lawn areas and relaxation rooms invite guests to unwind, while the wellness area offers massages and beauty treatments. Of course, there are also dining options at the “Eau de Cologne” restaurant and the historic Rosencafé, an architectural and design icon dating back to the 1957 Federal Horticultural Show.
