Middle Rhine Panorama Tour

This longer version of the Cologne Rhine Loop combines physical activity with even more views of the Rhine and the city skyline. Starting at Cologne Cathedral, the route heads north along the left bank of the Rhine—always following the waterfront, with an unobstructed view of the historic trade fair grounds and the Rhine Park on the opposite side. Passing the striking Bastei, the route continues to and across the Zoobrücke.

After crossing the Rhine, a green, spacious path opens up in the Rheinpark, offering a relaxed atmosphere for running and hiking. From the Hohenzollern Bridge, the route follows the well-known Rhine Loop: along the Rhine Boulevard, through Deutzer Freiheit, and across the Poller Wiesen to the Südbrücke. There, an impressive panorama of the Cologne skyline awaits. The path leads back to the Cathedral along the Rheinauhafen and through the Old Town.

A varied route for anyone who wants to actively explore Cologne while experiencing both urban and green Rhineland landscapes.
